Young Mason Cullen has been actively carving out a career as a professional off-road racer, and 2019 was the breakout year he was looking for. After a quest to rise through the ranks, from karts to Pro Lite, from short course to desert, Mason and his family have invested it all, putting in the time, effort, and energy. They have shaped out a business and life that feeds off of off-road motorsports. Now racing all year long in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series in a Pro Lite Truck and also a Class 1 Buggy in the SCORE-International World Desert Championship, Mason is fully consumed and has earned big rewards for his efforts.

Mason Cullen driver of record in the #105 F&L Racing Fuels Class 1 Jimco split driving duties with his father, well known off-road racer, Matt Cullen. Together they completed all 2,025.43 miles in the 2019 SCORE World Desert Championship with a 4th place finish at the San Felipe 250, a well-earned 7th place finish during the Baja 500 and ended out the season with consecutive back-to-back 3rd podiums for the Baja 400 & Baja 1000. This consistent effort rewarded Mason Cullen a Class 1 Championship and also earned the Rod Hall SCORE Milestone Award.

“What a busy and exciting year! I started the year off in my Pro Lite racing the Lucas Oil Off Road Series before I teamed up with my dad (Matt Cullen) to race my first SCORE Series in Class 1. A dream my dad and I have talked about forever.”

“Balancing the schedule of both series has been difficult as I spend a lot of time at the shop preparing chase trucks, trailers, tools, tires, and all things necessary to get to a race, all on top of being a college student. I also began training with Troy Adams and getting behind the wheel of anything I could get my hands on to prepare for the season ahead.” “Going into the SCORE Series, my dad and I had high expectations. However, we didn’t always have the finishes we had hoped for. With that said, we finished every single race, no matter what challenges were thrown at us. And going into the Baja 1000 we knew we had a chance. Getting the podium finish was awesome, but even better was the feeling of winning the 2019 SCORE-International Class 1 Championship and claiming the #100 plate in my rookie year!”
